Here are pictures of some of the weirder things we saw around Branson. (Keep reading after this post because I posted more pictures in Vacation Part 2.)
Jim wants to find out what the "Victorian Secret" package is. LOL!
Ok. I'm Christian and all but..........does it count that the cross is on wheels? This guy was in the walmart parking lot.
There is a museum about the Titanic. The building is very cleverly designed. The front of it looks like a boat, and they have water spraying on it so it looks like the boat is moving. There is also the requisite iceberg (see lower left-hand corner). My question is.......isn't this a bit morbid??? A tourist attraction that's supposed to be "fun"? On a boat where hundreds of people lost their lives???? Seriously? I guess in the year 2109 they'll have a tourist attraction called the "Twin Towers of Doom". Maybe they'll put little plastic figures falling off the sides......
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things. -- Robert Brault

Vacation, Part 2
This coffin was outside Grandfather's Mansion. Aren't they cute? :)
On Wednesdsay we went to Whitewater. We pretty much stayed in the wave pool. The water was the PERFECT temperature! Not cold at all. Just cool enough to feel refreshing in the immense heat.
Tuesday night we played Mini-golf. This was the first time the girls had ever played. They LOVED it!!!
My absolute favorite vacation picture! This was at the mini-golf course. It was a lost-island-type theme.
We ate dessert at Cakes N Cream. It was ok. Their specialty (which none of us got) was a funnel cake topped with ice cream. Mmmmmmmm
Here is Jim eating his blackberry cobbler ala mode from Cakes N Cream.
Hey, it was vacation!
Here are the girls with their purchases. There is this new shopping center called Branson Landing. It is on a lake. We didn't have much time to spend there on Thursday. It would be a perfect place to shop after supper. Next time, we will probably spend more time there.

What time is it? Summertime! It's our vacation!
Well, we are finally back from our week in Branson. Since a picture is worth 1000 words, I will shut up and let them do the talking. Well, mostly. :)
Here we are in line waiting on the tram to take us to Silver Dollar City. This is Tuesday. We went Monday and Tuesday, but I didn't take my camera on Monday because I didn't want it to get wet. My hair is up in a ponytail because it was hot. VERY hot!
Here is Alpha playing at Geyser Gulch. It was a supercool playground with these cannons that shot nerf-type balls everywhere. Awesome! Why didn't they have stuff like this when I was a kid?
Here is Beta consuming one of many waters, lemonades, and strawberry smoothies. She was my big drinker. I had to wrestle the cup away from her just so I could have a drink!
Here is Jim waiting outside Grandfather's Mansion. Since there was only one way in and one way out, we let the girls play inside by themselves while we waited outside. Er, well, while Jim waited outside and I waited inside the air conditioned candle-making shop. (Did I mention it was hot?)
Here are the girls inside the mansion. I hope the picture does it justice.
That's all for tonight. I will post more pictures tomorrow. Thankfully both of us took off tomorrow as well! Wooohoooo! Stay home day!

Happy Father's Day!
This was written, produced, and performed by Alpha and Beta.
(Apparently, when I processed the video, it converted to wide screen and chopped off their heads! Oh well......I'm really not that bad of a camera person....I think. :)

Flame Sky & Rainbow
Tonight, about 8:30, I was walking across the living room to go get the girls in bed. I noticed one of our front windows looked like it was surrounded by flames! It was glowing ORANGE! I thought one of our outside lights had fallen over and was shining directly into the window.
No! It was the sky! I grabbed my camera, and the girls got to stay up a few minutes later than usual.
The sky was truly this color. I did not use a filter. (don't even own one)
This is the best photo I could get of the complete rainbow without finding a mountain to stand on!
The sky was red, orange, and yellow. It looked like flames. I wish I was a professional photographer with gear. I could have gotten some spectacular shots!
