Rainbow Cloud

On our way out of town this past weekend, we caught an amazing site! Just a few minutes outside of Fayetteville, Alpha says "Look! A Rainbow!" She calls anything striped a rainbow so I didn't get too excited. However, when I looked up, THIS is what I saw:

It is a rainbow cloud!

According to the above-linked National Geographic site, this cloud is a circumhorizontal arc. It's not a traditional "rainbow", but it IS light being refracted by ice crystals. According to that website, it's actually quite rare. And we saw it with our own eyes!

Here's another picture:

Wow. To GOD, be the glory!

Yeah, yeah, yeah, rainbow clouds are nice...but what about all the other stuff we did this past weekend? Like the poker game? I might have to boycott your blog AGAIN! :)
